Hi everyone, im worried so hoping to be reassured, just had my smear result through i have hpv but cells are normal so just got to wait for a year to have the smear done again. Please reassure me.
It’s a great result to have normal cells! Almost everyone who has ever been sexually active has come in contact with the HPV virus-it’s very common and for most people it will never cause any issues, and it hasn’t caused any damage to your cells.
Hopefully by the time you go for your smear next year your immune system will have cleared the virus.
