31 with breast cancer advise please

Hello my loves,

so my story is I found a lump in my breast, small but I could feel it, my bra size is z32a so very small. Biopsy showed

Stage 1 infiltrating ductile carcinoma (with dcis) grade 2-3 hormonal positive also progesterone positive her 2 neg.

still trying to work it all out. And from what I have been told, the dcis part is localised however it has already spread to surrounding areas hence the infiltrating part meaning invasive,  I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
I get my MRI results this Tuesday. Scheduled for surgery next week, but have been told my surgery could be cancelled pending my mri results,

also been told due to my age I'm high risk for re occurring cancer. Meaning they will more than likely give me chemotherapy after surgery to kill cells.

tbh I would prefer a mastectomy over a lumpectomy so I know all the breast has gone. They already said I do not have any skin to use to rebuild as I am very slim size 8. I really don't know where my story will go but it's nice to write it down. I assume it's either a lumpectomy or a mastectomy.on ultrasound they said my tumour was 14mm but again I assume this could be different on MRI. I hate the waiting

  • Hi there...

The scaryiest part I think is at the start ... the unknown ... I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 .. a grade 3 oestrogen pos her 2 neg .... and thought my days were numbered ...

I had total right masectomy... and personally at my age, it was fine ... and like you wanted to get all the cancer out ... I had lots of bone problems so didnt opt for chemo or radio .... l put my house in order as thought maybe just weeks ...

My untie ... my nephew ... my friends daughter, all developed breast cancer after me ... we are all still here ... sadly we mainly hear the sad stories.... but remember no one is guaranteed tomorrow ... no one knows what each day brings ..

My daughter in law told me at the beginning of my journey ... no what ifs ... no looking ahead ... take every day and every problem as and when it comes up.... and well do it together ... l think that changed my outlook ... so hold on in there ... know there's lots of us been where you are now ... sending you a vertual hug...
