I have posted on here before but my journey has moved to another level and I could really do with some advice and support. I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS at the end of December. I had a WLE to remove the two areas on 9 February. All went well and I was convinced that would be the end of it - after some radiotherapy. Went back for my results on Tuesday and all margins were involved with DCIS plus there is an area of Grade 1 invasive and a small Grade 2 tumour. I'm booked for a mastectomy on 30 March with a sentinel node biops as I have small breasts and they've taken a lot of the tissue out already. I've asked for ain implant reconstruction but the more I think about it the less I like it. None of the other implants appeal either but I definitely don't want to be flat! If they find it's in my nodes then they will remove them. I'm not dealing with it particulary well - haven't slept properly since December and now feel sick, shaky and have lost my appetite. Seeing the doc later. Could really do with some ideas of what to expect with the op but also what to take into hospital and how to deal with the drains etc. please.
Thank you x
