Im new too. In fact this is my first ever post on anything.
I'm so sorry to read about your husband. I worked the last 8 years for the NHS in Cancer Services and have a reasonable idea of how some cancer pathways go. Not sarcoma though I'm afraid. You won't get the scan results on the day. The scans need to be studied and reported by the Radiologists and then you should be offered an appointment to discuss them. The time to report the findings can be between 3 and 5 days in my experience.

Sadly my husband has been told he has colorectal cancer. We are still early days. He's had the colonoscopy and biopsies taken. He even got a free tattoo! In his bowel! He's had a CT with contrast scan last Friday and is due to be discussed at MDT tomorrow (I used to be an MDT Coordinator then Medical Secretary in Oncology) I would expect us to get a phone call tomorrow to arrange the D day appointment for Tuesday if things haven't changed since I left.
