I was diagnosed on 28 September 2021 and originally the date of hysterectomy was 22 Nov but there was a cancellation of another operation on 28 Oct, so I was given that slot n had the hysterectomy on 28 Oct. 

You will get more information about your treatment plan when you see your oncologist. Better write down any questions you have in mind. When you see your doctor try to ask all the questions when he/she is with you.

Most people had stage 1 EC and the only treatment needed was hysterectomy. My hysterectomy went well and I recovered quickly. As I had stage 2 grade 2 EC, I had 25 sessions of RT. It also went well. Luckily, there were no delays although I had the treatments in January when Covid surged. All the NHS staff were wonderful. I felt relaxed once I got into the hospital. They chatted with me n explained all procedures clearly.  I felt I was always being well looked after.

I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer in april 2020, I had to wait for surgery until January 21 ( the  Covid situation and I also had other health issues) ( I had hormone therapy to stop it growing, my surgery went well, although my bladder was stuck to my womb wall they had to dissect it off so surgery took a little longer, it was not too painful for me,  and it went better than I was expecting ( I have had 4 C Section tho, compared to them it was not as painful), the passing of the wind after the operation was very uncomfortable sometimes painful, but passed quickly.  I went home the next day after the operation. I did get a little infection in my womb area inside and I needed antibiotics, my cancer was staged at stage 1a after my surgery, so I needed no further treatment, and a year after surgery things are still looking good, with just another year of checks to go. Thanks for your reply and good to hear you are doing well. Do you mind my asking, did you have keyhole surgery? The gynaecologist is hoping to do this but final decision will be made based on my MRI results

Yes, Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingectomy with Peritoneal Washings, wounds were small (4) and were much smaller than I thought they would be. You can hardly see them now.

Thanks for this. Saw the consultant today, who said that nothing has come up on the MRI and my cancer is most likely stage 1a, grade 1( final staging will be confirmed after surgery). So relieved - booked in for laparoscopic hysterectomy on March 23rd....

Hi, how are you. Just came across your post. I was just diagnosed with Womb cancer . And my ovaries and womb must be removed. How did you deal with manopose symptoms ? I am absolutely petrified.
