Newly diagnosed stage 2 grade 2 Idc breast cancer

Hey all,

I am 34 years old, with 3 kids and a wonderful husband married 16 years.

I am newly diagnosed with breast cancer, I've been following some peoples stories on here during the dreaded 2 week wait.
I am ready to fight this now, I'm ER + and waiting for her2 results to come through.
current plan is surgery, followed by radiotherapy and tablets for hormones, however if it's HER2 + then this will switch to chemo first then surgery followed by radiotherapy.

hoping to meet people in a similar situation to share life with cancer, and to have some additional support.
my family and support network is amazing, I know I'll kick cancer in the butt.

Thanks for reading

  • Hi Vikki,

I'm having 6 rounds of FEC-T which is 3x FEC and 3x Docetaxil, every three weeks, I have just had my first Docetaxil.

I was deeply gutted when the grade increased, that was never discussed as I had my biopsy and just assumed it would stay the same, because they said just radiotherapy' it didn't cross my mind that treatment would change but at 38 I'm throwing everything at it.

Chemo is tough but is Do-able, it's only the first week that you have your side effects then you have time too build up for the next one.

Side effects can be managed, and of course we are all different. Xxx
