Hello Gloria, breast cancer treatment should be tailored specifically to the individual and the type, grade, size of their cancer tumour, so the type and order of treatment that is recommended will vary from person to person. Even if two people have exactly the same type, size, grade of cancer other factors such as whether it has spread to lymph nodes, the position of the tumour, the person's age and general health etc are also taken into account. The NICE guidelines cover the diagnosis & treatment of breast cancer but it is up to the individual MDT team treating the patient to decide which treatments to recommend, and in which order. Treatments can be adjuvant or neo-adjuvant and sometimes chemo or hormone therapy might be given prior to surgery in order to shrink a large tumour (neo-adjuvant), sometimes hormone therapy is started before radiotherapy etc. As treatment is individually tailored there isn't a 'one size fits all' approach or chronology towards breast cancer treatment. I've found that researching Google is not a good idea as there is a lot of inaccurate, out of date information out there, and also information from other countries, and reading about how other people have been treated and comparing your treatment to theirs isn't helpful either.  Your oncologist / nurse will be able to explain to you why your treatment is being given in the order it is if you have any concerns/worries. My worry is that my Oncologist said (in a rush) that i can start with the hormone therapy... he prescibed Letrazole... which originally the last thing to do after chemo and radiation... which i havent started yet... so i am worried that he missed something. I am very well aware of the differencies you are talking ... it seemed that he just rushed last time i visited him...
