Newly diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. Any advice?

Hi beautiful warriors

I found a lump a few weeks ago.  I was referred to the breast clinic who carried out a mammogram, u/sound and a needle biopsy.  I spoke to the specialist on the same day who told me that I have bilateral breast cancer.   They are unable to give me details of the stage and cancer treatment etc until biopsy results.  The results will be on Thursday.   This seems to be the longest wait ever!   So many different things are going through my mind!
Any help or advice would be welcomed.  My life has changed in literally a five min conversation with a specialist.

  • Hi Hev welcome to the group nobody wants to be in but the support is fab!

im sorry to hear your news not what anybody wants to hear.
The description of what you are feeling is just like everybody else, we have had all the emotions you can think of but it does get easier.
once you have your surgery date and your treatment plan you do settle down and become more positive and start dealing with it. Nobody says it's easy and it can be a rollacoster at times very up and down but you will get there.

I was diagnosed in September had surgery end November and have just had my second cycle of 6 chemos so I have a way to go but am definitely more positive now than I was in the beginning.

keep strong it will get easier.

    love Kiera xx
