That's sad. I am 2 years in remission for breast cancer and my son is having therapy for anxiety and stress, but I still have him....sending you all the best for your treatment

After 22 years to have cancer return is a shock. I am 2 years after surgery and treatment and am now looking at reconstruction even though I will be 70 next birthday. 
Cancer really does destroy lives, if only they could find a cure, hopefully in the next generation .

Hi Silver.  Just to let you know, the lung cancer, is different to the breast. I had reconstruction, it does make you feel better, having a matching pair. Good luck, and take care..Dolly.x

Oh thank you for that positive comment. Reconstruction is a big op but feel so unbalanced with just one. I'm having DIEP - fat taken from the stomach. Good luck with everything

My Daughter had both breasts, replaced 23 years ago, using stomach muscle and fat, very successful .x

And your daughter, goodness cancer has swept through your family, there's none in my history. Scared of the surgery and my age may mean longer recovery , but thinking positively and it's good to hear about other women who have been through it. Thank you x

Mmmm but I'm nearly 70 and the one I have is facing South! But even at 70 it will be nice to feel a bit more normal and attractive. I hope these little chats help to take your mind off things, to have cancer is bad enough but to lose a son  must be overwhelming. I found this cancer chat helpful especially when I was first diagnosed, it's makes you feel you are not alone 

do you read?im reading a great book called More than a Woman by Caitlin Moran , it's humorous in places and so true of womens lives....

Hi Silver. I met a lady of 82, who had a reconstruction, She said you would never know, and I could not believe, they made it as droopy as the other one, so don't worry..xx

Might as well have 2 droopy ones but I'm hoping for perky  little ones!! And a tummy tuck at that. Thinking about it a face lift might help... no I'm joking just to have 2 so I look OK in a swimsuit will be fine and not have to use those prothesis things. There's a long waiting list apparently for my op so who knows when it will be.
