I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node taken out on 7th December and was doing really well, then 24th December had to have armpit drained and have had to have it done another twice since and have got to go again on Tuesday Jan 4th because it keeps coming back. I have also got cording and the pain in my under arm and armpit is horrendous. My consultant says it will gradually get better it could take a few more days or even weeks. I'm massaging my arm rubbing in aveeno moisturiser doing exercises but each time I have it drained i(about 40ml of fluid each time) it's ok for about 24 hours then it starts coming back. Just wanted to ask how long other people have had this problem and how long did it take to start to feel better.
