Pancreatic cancer

My mother has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the NHS has declined to offer any treatment stating it has spread. If any one can tell me a private but reasonably priced chemotherapy centre or private doctor it will help. The oncologist recommended chemotherapy but would not offer any treatment.  please let me know. Any information on this cancer will be helpful.

  • Welcome to the forum Nick4life although I'm sorry about your mother's diagnosis and for the reason you've joined us.

Unfortunately individual healthcare practices or providers are not allowed to be mentioned on the forum but you can find out what private healthcare options may be available to you and your mother through this website and the Private HealthCare Information Network.

You may also be able to get a second opinion through the NHS. You can find out more just here and read up on pancreatic cancer on our website.

I hope the information I've provided will be useful but if you feel it may help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses then you're welcome to give them a call next week. Due to the bank holiday, they'll be available from Tuesday onwards on 0808 800 4040 between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
