I had my first chemotherapy a week ago and am suffering with a really painful sore throat. I can barely swallow and it's really getting me down. Other than paracetamol, is there anything else I can take?
I'm sorry about the difficulties you've been having with your chemo Harker. It sounds very tough.
Your doctor/cancer team would be in the best position to advise on this but if you'd like to speak with one of our cancer nurses you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. If it's easier, you can make another post about this in their section of the forum.
Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but in the meantime, I want to wish you all the best with your chemo and I will have my fingers crossed these side effects start to improve soon.
