I have returned to work (phased return since 1st September) after a year of having chemo, 2 surgeries...but I am not sure about how long the phased return can carry on. I work in a school.

Hello Daizy
I admit to not knowing the answer to your question. I do know that following a cancer diagnosis you are protected by law from unfair treatment. I'd suggest giving the Macmillan support line a call and talking to their employment advisors who will be able to give you some advice and information.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,

Thank you. I will give them a call. I feel intimidated by my boss now.
Morning Daizy, I just wanted to say that I'm really sad that you feel intimidated by your boss. I'm only at the start of my journey and already not coping with work and wondering when my treatment will start and how long it will take so I can start my sick. Cancer is enough for us to deal with and employers really should be more supportive.
Please let me know how you get on with the support line. Thinking of you and sending virtual hugs Mickey xx
Hi Mickey, good luck with your treatment. I didn't work during the treatment, it was very tough for me.
Hi Daizy, I'm sorry to hear the treatment was so tough for you. I must admit I'm not feeling very brave about the thought of it myself. I hope you get the answers and support you need with your phased return. You so need your employers support and they should be totally behind you. Xx
