Freezing cold shivers on Anastrazole

Hi, just wondered if anybody else is experiencing extreme freezing shivers on Anastrazole? I was on tamoxifen for a year until I lost my ovaries and now I've been on Anastrazole for 2 months and the hot flushes are just as devastating to my life and sleep but now I'm getting freezing cold episodes where my hands are like ice - can anybody relate to this? Is this normal? Is there no end to our constant suffering? I'm starting to think it's just not worth it but I'm too frightened to stop the medication in case the cancer returns!

  • Hi w31end, I am so sorry you are suffering. I don't claim to have any answers and am having different issues with Anastrozole, and am finding it quite unpleasant. I am due to have a telephone consultation with my Oncologist this week. Prior to this I did have a really good chat with my GP which has helped me put a shape on what I want to say. But since then I have received some confusing blood test results, so the puzzle continues. But if you can talk to your GP or your Breast Care nurses they will help you formulate your questions and go forward and also if necessary, arrange for you to see the Oncologist. Good luck, Zebedea
