Sex after chemo

So I battled rabdoid tumor at 2 1/2 years old receiving chemo for a year and a half I'm now 18 within a serious relationship of 10 months we had a suprise witch wasn't planed and I've just found out I'm  pregnant witch I see as a blessing with the treatment I received but my question is   can the effect side effects chemo even years later have an affect on my sex drive so I know that pregnancy and hormone can play a part in low sex drive but before pregnancy I found I don't have much of a sexual drive Im not overly interested In sex and I do not find it comfortable it can be painful and I don't enjoy it my partner sex drive us quite high and I'm afraid it now putting strain on the relationship I feel it could be me if It is due to late effect what is avalible to help me me experience the best sex life possible thank you in advance

    I'm sorry to hear that you're still having some problems with your sex drive. I can see that you posted a message in our Ask the Nurses topic area a few months ago about the same problem. 

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope that you're feeling well and not having to deal with too many issues like morning sickness. Pregnancy can indeed impact your sex drive but as this is an ongoing issue that you had before pregnancy then I'd encourage you to speak to your GP about your concerns. If you don't feel comfortable speaking to your GP then it may be that you're able to talk things through with one of the nurses at the practice who can hopefully give you some support with improving things. 

    I hope that you're able to enjoy the pregnancy and that things settle for you.
