I went for my smear test just over two weeks ago and when being examined the nurse noted there was a lot of blood however she also said that there looked to be a bruise like mark as well. For context- I am on ridevidon and I was advised by my doctor to not take the week break but to continue through until I bleed and then stop taking it for four days then repeat. So I never know when I'm going to get my period so when the nurse said about the blood I just assumed it was my period and stopped my pill for the 4 days however I have now taken another period. My period cycle can mean I go a couple of months without a period so this is very unusual for me.

has anyone else experienced this? Or know what the "bruise" could be?
