Tamoxifen experience

I've just been diagnosed with LCIS and higher risk of invasive breast carcinoma and its recommended I start tamoxifen. I'm 47 so not quite menopausal. Has anyone got and advice or experience that they could pass on please? I'm on gabapentin for my back so I'm hoping that will help with any hot flushes. A friend has given me some advice but I'm just wondering what everyone's experience is and how the deal with the slight increase in risk of endometrial cancer?

Hi there ..
Well one thing I wasn't told about tamoxifen.... is it could give you mood swings ... I went from cool and in control to A weeping wreck .... only lasted a couple of weeks but think I cryed through each day ...
If I'd known I would have been ready ... so touch wood you will breeze through it ... but just warn those close to you, you just MAY get emotional ... good luck .... Chrissie x
