Insomnia brought about by prostate cancer treatment

My local GPS let me down when I developed insomnia after prostate cancer treatment. I do not believe they realise the seriousness of the complaint and merely fobbed me off with some sleeping pills and anti-depressants.Three years later I still have insomnia and now suffer short term memory loss as a result. I am about to have MRI scan to see what is happening to my brain and,at this late stage,an electrical check presumably over night to find out the problem as well, but it's all a bit late!

Anyone else any thoughts on this?
