Testicular cancer

Hi I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in both testicals. I had 2 operations to remove testicals within a space of 4 weeks.I hade chemotherapy and a year on I've have 2 scans and had the all clear. After having Testosterone problems with tiredness and hot sweats which are now becoming part of my life,I've also had nerve pain in lower abdomen and around my scrotum and also travelling down my thigh and inside of my groin area , I was wondering if anybody has had this problem and if so how was it treated to be pain free and is it still normal to be struggling with tiredness and fatigue. Many thanks

I'm sorry to hear about all that you've been through and that you're continuing to deal with. It's great news that your most recent scan was clear but it's clear from your post that you're still struggling with some of the post-treatment effects.

Have you spoken to your GP, Consultant, or clinical nurse specialist about the pain and sweats. If not then please do get in touch with them. There are certainly things they may be able to recommend/prescribe to help with the sweats.

If you'd like to chat things through with one of our team of nurses you're most welcome to call them. I'm sure they will be able to offer some advice and support. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope things start to settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
