my dad is on end of life care now

drinking only liquids, and still a bit of soup, He went on to a syringe driver on sunday, and hes having 150ml through that a day, and his pain is still there so yesterday they said increase the liquid morphine to 20ml every to 2-4 hours, so me a total of about 230ml yesterday. 

i just wanted to ask anyone if they have gone through this.

Is that normal, to have so much, hes still in a bit of pain and is so stuburn. How long do they have the driver in for?

one friend said her dad died 9 days after the driver went in another said 3.

Any advice would be great. thanks
