2 years later

Just thought I would update to give hope to people going through this dreadful time. I finished my radiotherapy two years ago and have just had another PET scan. All clear . It is so easy to imagine any sort of mouth problem to be a return of the cancer. Whilst it is not easy living with the problems caused by lack of saliva (a result of the radiotherapy which hasn't improved much in two years), I am still here!

  • Hi Mrsrobust,

This is great news and thank you so much for sharing. It is always lovely when people return to let us know how they are getting on, and the good news is nice to hear too. I'm sure your post will be helpful to others on the forum in future.

    All the best,

Yes it's hard to keep calm and stay positive at times but it's reassuring to hear good news. Thank you for sharing.

    Stay well.
