Still bald one month and two days after finishing chemo

Hi all,

 

I'm freaking out because I'm still bald after finishing chemo. It will be 5 weeks on Friday. Not a sign of hair on body or head. I had EC chemo and then Abraxane. I'm terrified I'll be one of those people for whom the hair loss is permenant. 

 

Did anyone else not see any hair until quite late in the game? WHich chemo did you have?

    Hi. I'm just finishing chemo, last of 6 rounds of FEC -T. On my 4th round I noticed the hair on my head starting to grow back. But nowhere else. Not on my body and my eyelashes and eyebrows are still really bare too. I think it's just different for everyone. I'm thinking about buying something to help my hair grow back, maybe that's something you could look into? Have a look online.

    Wow... after the 4th round - that's so early. I thought I would get that too.. I hoped and I hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones who would get some growth during chemo but it never happened. I'm terrified that this is forever. I've started using Regaine these last couple of days...

    I had read about others who's hair started regrowing on the 4th round and I didn't think it would happen for me. Different types of chemo may affect when it regrows too. Yours will come back, but maybe you could ask a breast cancer nurse for some advice? And that regaine is supposed to be good stuff so hopefully that will help. I'm worrying about my eyelashes lol. They're so bare now and my eyebrows are hardly noticeable.
