It is 5 weeks since my right side mastectomy, I had a lumpectomy first time round 11 years ago and the surgeon said it was a tough operation because of scar tissue, the problem is I have been left with a very hard roll under my arm which is really painful and impossible to lay on, I am overweight and was told this was the reason but I find it difficult to except that. Was wondering if anyone else has or had the same problem. Does scar tissue soften up or get better?
