Hi all any help please

Morning all I'm new here and just wanted to reach out to say hello and congrats to all us fellow survivors in world cancer week, and very sad for those who sadly couldnt fight it.

I've just stopped venlaflaxine having been on it a while, as it wasnt helping very much with my flushes. I had a full hysterectomy last Jan 19, so want to see how iam just being on Tamoxifen. Since my op back 2015, I have tried various meds for both prevention and help with flushes. I'm now noticing all over joint ache from fingers to toes! I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced the same and what you take to help. thankyou all and keep safe and well.

  • Hello joj62,

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat and it's wonderful news that you are a survivor. I am sure you will meet fellow survivors on the forum - it's a great place to connect with others who have had a similar experience. I hope that you will hear from some of our members who have also suffered aching joints and that they will have some suggestions for you as to what might help. I think it would also be a good idea to mention these issues to your doctor or specialist who I am sure will be able to advise you further on this.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm if you want to talk things through with them at any stage.

    Best wishes,

  • Hiya, I'm taking letrazole and had terrible pain, at some point I was crawling up the stairs, I was taking it in the morning, but someone advised that I change to nightime. Game changer the pain settled down I still get stiff etc but nothing like it was.

    Maybe give it a try
