Is there any good stories?

My hubby went through colorectal cancer last year, stage 3.  Had the rumour removed, ileostomy created and had 3 months of chemo.  He's currently in hospital, day 1 of reversal surgery and in terrible pain.  With covid I can't go to see him. I've read so many bad stories on here about reversal, the issues with BM diarrhoea and going upteem times to the loo. I would love to hear some nice stories - are there any out there, such as - I only go 3 times a day, or I haven't suffered with diarrhoea, or Ive not had any accidents.

  • Hi Wickers,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm very sorry to hear what your husband and yourself are going through at the moment - this sounds incredibly difficult. Hopefully there are some more positive stories out there - unfortunately it's often the case that people are more likely to post with less positive stories in the hope of getting support from people on here, and those with positive stories may be less inclined to post. However, my reply here to you will boost your post and hopefully if there is anyone with similar experience to share then they'll be along soon.

Wishing you all the best and I hope you're able to see your husband soon,

    Ben
