Hello, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and after a radical total hysterectomy and removal of 30 lymph nodes I was given the all clear. Can anyone tell me if I am at more risk regarding Corona virus than anyone else now? Thank you for any support you are able to offer.

    Hi,

    I only have experience of surgery for melanoma where I had 23 nodes removed (melanoma in 2 of them). I have made lots of enquiries with organisations with regards to lymph node removal & the immune system and the only organisation that has published information on this is the Melanoma Focus research charity (my consultant is one of the research members of this charity). 

    I have added the link & you can see at point 6 that lymph node removal has no negative effect on the immune system so you are at no more risk regarding Covid-19. melanomafocus.com/.../
