Had high risk letter but don’t come under the criteria

Hi

Ive had the high risk NHS letter but I don't have any of the stated reasons wrong with me. In July I will be two years clear of HEr2 breast cancer, had last chemo June 2018 and mastectomy July 2018. Working in the food chain. Can I go to  work during these unprecedented times? Breast clinic advice is yes but they are worried that it conflicts the advice from the letter

does anyone know how I can get the answer?

    I’m sorry we can’t give you detailed information about whether you should be considered vulnerable, but the criteria for cancer patients is carefully defined, based on those with greatest clinical risk.  Some patients may receive a letter because they have other conditions that place them in the highest risk category. 

    You mentio nthat you've already spoken to breast clinic who advised that they felt you weren't in the high risk category.  If may also be worth getting in contact with your GP. Aside from cancer treatments, there are other conditions and factors that can make people more vulnerable.

    Thank you for this, GP was unable to help me rang them upon receipt of letter. I'm sure your helpline must be very busy, don't like to burden them.

    Hi Tracy,

    So many of these letters have been sent out to people who don't qualify that at least one NHS Trust has emailed its staff saying they should phone Occupational Health if they get one to double check that it wasn't a mistake. Apparently some essential front line staff have been receiving them too!
