Long term side effects of chemotherapy

Hi there my husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme I’m 2017, he’s had a craniotomy to remove the tumour, has had 6 weeks radiotherapy and chemo together then a further 12 months chemotherapy, he finished chemo September 2018, he has good days then can spend a week in bed when will this end I can’t see it ever happening feel like life is hold even after 3 years! :(

    I'm sorry to read that things are still difficult at this time, I can imagine this is not easy to deal with.

    Unfortunately I'm not too sure on how best to advise - it's only really your husband's doctor/consultant who can offer the best advice on how to manage this and when things might be likely to improve.

    You may also find it helpful to talk things through with our nurses - if so, you can reach them on 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

  • I too am sorry to hear of your problems...I too after 5 years since treatment have bad days ...and find it a problem explaining just how I feel.....maybe we can help each other by keeping in touch!....I live in North Wales and although I am totally greatful for my treatment and aftercare in hospital....I feel I have been left on the shelf ....so please feel free to chat.to someone who knows life after cancer.
