I had my post surgery meeting with the consultant that performed a Laparascopic low anterior resection with a ilostomy, it was better than winning the lottery there was no spread of cancer in any tissue the growth was very small and he said you can go away and carry on your life as normal we have thrown it in the bin. He said a ct scan every two years and a colonoscopy every three but as far as he was concerned it's over and as it has been three wks since op I can start going for bike rides outside as I am already going for 3 three mile walks.
