Post 10yrs if Tamoxifen

I stopped taking tamoxifen just over 12 months after taking it for 10 yrs

I had a lumpectomy at 36 and this was deemed the best treatment after radiotherapy

At the moment I feel so angry all the time and could gladly kill something and my head is in complete overdrive I just cannot relax. I have made an appointment to have my hormone levels checked. Is this normal ? How long does it take to feel normal again ?

  • Sorry to hear, I'm terrified of taking this med.  I've not made my mind up yet . I hope things balance out for you soon xx

  • my Partner Jayne ,had a lump removed and was put on tamoxifen.she would be quite nasty at times, and as i knew what she was going through plus loved her more than life itself i just grinned bared it,although occassionaly Jayne would apologise and explain she was told this would be a possible side effect.

as it is after 3 years we went hospital for a problem with her legs, and she was admitted that day 23rd january, was told she had cancer of the bones and kidneys, sadly they missed on the scan that her liver was totally infested with cancer this was only found out 2 weeks later 2 days before i lost the love of my life.

i hope youve got a loving partner or a very supportive understanding family so you can get through the side effects.hopefully the doctors can help and give you the right medication to put you back in good health.

    regards
