I've have a look through the forum and I can't see that anyone else has posted regarding being prescribed sertraline to cope with flushes. 
I do know that nausea is one of the common side effects of starting this medication and it does typically settle within a few weeks. 

You might want to give our nurses a call to see if they have any insights into this medication and flushes. You can call them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

Thanks Jenn - finding it diffiult to find anyone taking this for hot flushes, however, I have lowered the dose as the nausea was too much. I'll give it a couple of weeks to see if it makes any difference. x

In case anyone is interested I thought I'd update this post after being on sertraline for a month I have not had any hot flushes/sweats - its a wonder drug for me :D

I'm delighted to hear that this is working for you now. I started on Clonidine, which did nothing for me. My breast care nurse then suggested that Venlafaxine, a mild anti-depressant, helps some people with this. Fortunately, it has worked well for me, although it doesn't stop the sweats completely.

Hi I've also just been prescribed this!

Hi i was prescribed fluoxetine for hot flushes and it really helped however I had the worst insomnia whilst taking them so had to stop as couldn't cope on just couple hours sleep every night.
