Always worrying

Was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at 31 had treatment and just finished radiotherapy but I'm constantly worried about it coming bk always checking myself

  • Hi,

I know it's hard. I am 6 years post cervical cancer and I still worry about recurrance. It does lessen as time goes by but I think we will always have it in the back of our minds. I think finding people to talk to, like on here, will help you cope. You are in good company!

  • my sister had stage 3 and she is 11 years in remission.

  • This is compltly understandable . have you got a good support netowrk of people you can talk to? its also good to try and distract yourself through a hobby or intrest. it is good to be vigilant with your health but its about striking that balance between vigilant and hypervigilant. you may find you worry less as more time has passed. Im 15 years in remision from leakumia . in the begining shotly after finishing treatment any health issue was very worrying but as time went on i didnt worry as much as i know the chance of relapse is pretty slim now (touch wood). best of luck. x
