post treatment cervical cancer help needed

Hi there

I finished my treatment for CC stage 2b 6 weeks ago. I had 5 weeks of cisplatin and radiation and brachy. I got through it all really well. 

However since finishing the treatment i constantly have pain all over my body and in my joints. My hair is shedding alot more than ever and also my eyelashes. 

I have big red spots that burn on my face... Has anyone had anything similiar to this?? its really knocking my confidence and affecting how i feel everyday. I beleived that everything had finished and could start to move forward but i seem to be feeling worse now than ever. I have started the menopause now and my oncologist has prescribed the HRT patches. im a week into that.  please help or advice needed. I cant sleep, i panic all day and im a total mess. xx

    Well done for finishing treatment stephln and getting through it all well it must have been really difficult for you at the time. Sorry to hear though that you have suffered all these symptoms since ending treatment. It can't be easy to live with and it does sound rather painful too. I completely understand how this may affect the way you feel at the moment. Have you tried talking to your medical team about all this? They may have some helpful suggestions for you or may be able to prescribe something that helps. I definitely think you should go back to your doctor and mention all this including the fact that the oncologist has prescribed these patches and whether this might also be having an effect. Make sure you mention too that you are having trouble sleeping and that you need help. Hopefully once this is sorted you will then be able to move forward as it can't be fun for you at the moment!
