I noticed you haven't had a reply yet so I just wanted to stop by and give you our cancer nurses telephone number as I think they will be in the best position to answer your question. Their freephone number is 0808 800 4040 and they're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m so do give them a call when you can as they are very helpful.
We do have members here who have had a mastectomy and now that I've replied I'm sure some of them will be along soon to provide their input but do feel free to use the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above to look for previous discussions about this as well.
