    Hi Kenm,

Welcome to the forum that nobody really wants to join.

I have had two bouts of primary breast cancer, first diagnosed 7 years ago. I initially had a lumpectomy and was on Tamoxifen for the first year. When I discovered the second lump I had a double mastectomy and started taking Letrozole, as Tamoxifen obviously hadn't worked.

I had a number of side effects, but it is difficult to say what caused them, as I have a number of co-morbidities and take a lot of medication. Many of these medicines have the same type of side-effects.

I certainly never felt as totally fatigued in all my life as I did in the first 6 years. I could and often did, fall asleep anywhere.

You are certainly not a wimp if you feel anything like I did. Are you still working? If not, you can give into the tiredness and take plenty of naps, but if you are it's not so easy to deal with. I eventually had to stop working and just give in to the desperate need for sleep. Have you told your cancer care team how you feel:

Can I ask what type of cancer you have and how long ago you were diagnosed? Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. There is always someone here to talk to.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
