My wife had bowel cancer 61/2 years ago. She had the Ileocecal valve removed which is the connection between the large and small bowel. Now there is little control between the two and the result is either constipation or diarrhoea. She does not like using lactulose or loperamide because it just accentuates the problems. Any ideas to help? Have tried to find a magic wand but without any luck.
