Getting over cervical cancer

hi,

Is it just me but every little niggle or pain I get I assume it's the cancer back. I'm still having 6 monthly check ups but they no longer scan me which concerns me a bit seeings as my cancer was originally missed.

    I think it is perfectly normal to be concerned as you are given that your cancer was originally missed and I’m sure some of our lovely members will understand what you are feeling and will be here soon to offer their advice and support.

  • Hi Nicky,I know were your coming from I feel exactly the same,I had a radical hysterectomy 6 months ago,and recently went for an MRI scan as I was getting puffy legs and pain in my pelvis,my results were fine,and I no longer have the pain,I am currently checked every four months,and I no I have to stop thinking every ache and pain is cancer,my consultant is very good and answers any of my concerns,she said its very hard,but she said as time goes by it will be easier.I no its hard but think positive and enjoy your life.
