concerns about possible secondary cancer

For many months I have had episodes of choking and coughing but a camera down the throat (cant remember proper name) found nothing concerning. Already diagnosed many years ago with hiatus hernia. For the last many weeks have had a cough which is severe, restricting my breathing and makes me feel really hot with severe headache when it happens, Worse in the cold but stillhave it indoors. I have been on steroids over xmas followed by antibiotics and an inhaler, but no improvement.  What is bothering me is three and a half years ago I had a double mastectomy invasive lobular breastcancer, and I am worried this may be a secondary cancer, but my doctor does not seem to think of this.Should I mention it or keep battlingon?

  • Hi

I would talk to your dr and tell them of your concern.

Its hard living with the fear of the cancer returning.Im the same i also had breast cancer and finished my treatment last july.Every illness ache and pain i think its a secondary.

But you must make the dr aware of the possibility even if its only for your sanity

  • Hi Pagan like the name, I have had a cancer removed from my nose mouth and jaw and upper lip all been amputated, so in your position I would be strait back to be checked if they  find nothing then there is nothing lost, but if you behave as I did and ignore it then the consciences can be very bad All my hope and best wishes are with you
