Breast cancer

Breast cancer: after all the surgery, chemo, herceptin and radiation and being told that I am clear, I just can't put cancer behind me, for awhile I can put it to the back of my mind and then booooom it's in the front again. Just wish I could forget about it.

  • Hi. It s s hard, isnt it, to put it to the back of your mind? That s why this is such a brilliant site, with lots of people going through the same or similar situations and conditions. You can chat on here without upsetting your family and you can say things on here that you wouldn t necessarily say to them. We all know what it s like to go through cancer, whether it be ourselves or relatives. Welcome :)

  • Just to add, it s a common reaction when given the all clear. Probably because we put everything we have into fighting that filthy thing and then afterwards, realisation hits you like a ton of bricks and you really begin to realise what we ve been through! Take care, Sue :) xx
