Hi Ellemby
My husband was diagnosed on the 8th December last year and after Chemo, radiotherapy and surgery he is luckily now in remission. I can say from personnal experience that you are definitely left with post cancer stress and I am definitely a sufferer. Everyone says how lucky we are and we know thats the case but I live in a state of perpetual fear of it returning. The week before his follow up appointments I cant wait for them to check him but am also terrified they will find something. Everytime he says he has discomfort , pain or feels unwell Im in a state. I know its irrational and I have to get it undercontrol but there's no support once the treatments finished - at least whleast while he was having treatment he was being seen tegularly so that made the stress more manageable. Im sure other carers must feel like this but at the moment I feel alone.
