cancer returns?

Hi my name is Karen & my husband Mick had liver cancer 18 months ago. He had a liver resection & the 6 month scan was clear.  He had a CT scan 2 weeks ago & has an appt on Monday at the hospital who is looking after him. I went to the doctors for a problem last night taking Mick with me/ At the end of my appt, we asked the doctor if he had received any results re, the CT scan & he said there was a nodule in his lung that would need to be investigated. I know we haven't got definitive results yet but I am devastaed that it is possibly/probably happening again.

  • Hi Karen, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you were really disappointed to find out that your husband has a nodule on his lung after having liver cancer 18 months ago. Since it has been picked up really early on, it is likely going to be attended to very quickly and hopefully with success. I think that is key to being treated in a timely manner. Certainly having to deal with cancer is never something that any of us would wish on even our worst enemy, (if we even have one) but catching it early on gives a much better chance of a successful outcome. I know that this is hard for both of you right now, but wait until you have all of the information and then work with his medical treatment team to take care of it.

Good luck and best wishes to you both. Come back on here and let us know how he gets along with it.

    Take care.
