Peg removal after throat cancer

Hi, big day today, had peg removed 16 weeks post treatment. I'm not eating normally yet but supplementing with fortisips which I now drink. I also plan to return to work in two weeks, I only work part time anyway but I'm having a back to work meeting about a phased return. Next big appointment I'm waiting for is the scan to show I'm all clear (hopefully).

    Congrates on getting rid of the PEG ... I hated having mine towards the end and was glad to get rid of it as it was a massive reminder of going through the treatment

    I always thought that if i had a drink, that in some funny cartoon way it would spurt out of my belly ... but it seals up after a couple of hours ... apparently

    Within 3 weeks of having mine out i went to Eqypt on holiday and did load of snorkelling without any problems

    Well on your way to recovery now
