Joint pain

Gosh. Havnt found it easy to get in. Anyway hope this is me started. Having problems with joints after chemo last year. Has this been a problem for any? Nurses said sometimes chemo draws fluid from joints. Consultant said could be early arthritis. Go says could be both. Been getting physio now for a couple months and started reluctantly on pain killers. Thanks

  • Hi Vivian.  Welcome to the site.  I have been on chemotherapy a long while now and luckily have had no problems with joint pain.  I don't mean to sound negative but I just wanted to ask if your GP has suggested any type of scan to rule out secondary disease?  Once we have had a diagnosis, I feel any new symptoms should be checked thoroughly in that respect.

I am sure it is no doubt something much more simple which can be helped with life-style changes and pain relief meds but better safe than sorry.  Please let us know how you get on x
