long term after effects of chemo

Has anybody else suffered long term disability. After chemo CHOP aggressive B I am suffering lack of feeling in nerve endings in feet and hands finished treatment 16 months ago. I used to drive buses for 40 years but with lack of feeling I can't drive anymore. The treatment and medical staff were great Southampton UCH. If I can help anybody I would like to hear from you

  • Hi there.

My chemo and rads finished 2 years ago but I do still have pins and needles and joint pain, and I have to say I've never really got over the exhaustion. I struggle to go to work every day but don't have a choice, so I feel your pain!! I'm sorry I can't offer any good advice but I do know how you feel. Is there any way you could retrain or try a different job?

    Best of luck :-)

  • Hi Neni thanks for your post my feet and fingers are more than pins & needles they feel as if you've been in the snow and got really cold numbness especially feet. I can't walk far at all without an aid of some sort and am registered disabled. I can imagine how you feeling exhausted and going to work must be tough.

I don't have to work as am 2 weeks away from 65. But it was hard not going back to work as I was a bus driver for 40 years, but at least I'm still here and there are a lot worse off than I am thanks again for post
