I'm new be gentle !

Hi , my name is Lisa , I'm 39 , and I am 4 months post chemo for ovarian cancer . Thankfully been told cancer in remission after 2 operations , the last one a full hysterectomy and bowel resection. Struggling to get back to normal and deal with everyday life .

  • Hi Lisa

Welcome to the forum. You have got through a lot of anguish so far, I know it doesn't end after the treatment and it takes a lot of learning to live with "the new normal". If you need help, ask here there is bound to be someone who has encountered the same problems and can point you in the right direction. Also search the forums for past posts. It sometimes takes a while to get replies as we are just regular people who pop in now and again to read posts over a cup of tea. The nurses can provide good info and often pick up unanswered posts. • Hi it does take time to get back to normal whatever that is?

I had stage 2 ovarian and womb cancer in 2011 and had a hystorectomy, chemo and radiotherapy. Life is great regular checkups but now hoping to head for my 5 years all clear in April.

Hang on in there it is tough but u have to get used to a new normal but it's worth it. You are doing a great job
