Hi, I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 2014 had a few complications on the way.  Finished radiotherapy May 2015.  I am on letrozole and feel so tired and achy all the time, diagnosed with osteopenia of spine which is start of osteoporosis, I think.  Im sure its the letrozole that makes us tired and achy, dr has put me on calcium tablet now as well. I went back to work September 2015 but only doing two days and Im completely done in!  Good luck at doctors on Friday.

  • Hi Vickyvettori,

The zoledex is a hormone based therapy which was part of the treatment I was given for my prostate cancer. It can cause mood swings and tiredness plus hot flushes which I found so bad at nights, it used to wake me up and once awake I couldnt get back to sleep again so felt tired next day. You are doing the right thing by asking your doctor about it.

Wishing you all the best, Brian.

  • Hi, Vicky, I am on Letrozole for endometrial cancer that has spread.  I have taken it for 6 months now and the tiredness is almost an illness in itself.  I sleep through alarms and can hardly stay awake during the day.  And the pain in my joints.is awful.  I will be interested to hear what you doctor has to say and if he has an alternative.
