Life after treatment for cervical cancer

Hi. I am hoping to get some opinions on my case. I had a lymhnodectomy in my groin in 2013 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. The cancer was removed by surgery but since the lymph node removal I have had a host of problems... Mainly no feeling from my tummy down to my knees! Some days I can't walk! I see my consultant every 6 months. I have told him repeatedly that I've got severe pain in my pelvis right side. I've had an MRI finally. But I just feel like I've been left. I can never really get anywhere. Has anyone else had an experience like this. Any opinions welcome. Thanks for reading. Peace and love xx

  • Hello vix1977,

I hope you will meet others here who are experiencing the same issues after treatment for cervical cancer. I thought I would let you know too that someone on this forum is going through post-operative neuropatic cancer pain following surgery for cervical cancer. Perhaps you two could talk to each other? You can read her post here and don't hesitate to respond to her and I will also mention your thread to her so you can share your post-operative stories.

    Best wishes,
