Can really identify with this. Surgery October, chemotherapy November till January then daily radiotherapy, now feel lost with no energy.
I had the same feeling when I finished radiotherapy in December. I missed seeing the people, it almost felt as though I was part of a special club. On the other hand, from diagnosis and throughout treatment I felt as though my life was in other people's hands and they were making decisions for me so now I look on it as taking the control back - and it feels good!
Hi E[leen,
A lot of people feel like this, Including me. After 37 radiotherapy sessions, like Devoncake made friends with three other couples who were all there like me for prostate cancer treatment. I am still in touch with them all six years later. We used to have such a laugh that the receptionist came into the waiting room to ask if we were having a party.
Some people do feel almost abandoned when treatment has ended and can feel they have lost the saftey net of seeing the doctors and nurses after the hustle and bustle of the treatment period. Which is where this forum helps.
Wishing all of you the very best, take care, Brian
