Hi all my forum buddies. Just wanted to post on a new thread as it is more relevant than where my journey began. Hope to see you here. Jules

Hi Diane,
It is lovely being busy with friends and family but equally nice to have some relaxing me time. Hope your son's IBS flare up soon comes to an end as must be pretty unpleasant for him.
Wonderful news about your grand-daughter's results - what does she now plan to do with her qualifications?
We have had light drizzle most of this morning but after looking in and feeding my daughter's cat, I went for a walk around town and even managed to pick up a couple of summer tops in the sales (was only going to browse but will be nice to take something new away).
Now I am back home and have just had a light lunch before getting ready to watch Men's Final at Wimbledon. Very difficult choice as F1 GP at Silverstone also live on TV - could be switching between the two for a bit. Have a nice bowl of strawberries to munch on too.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care, Jules xx
Hi jules it is lovely having family around isn't it and being busy always keeps me going. My granddaughter is training to be a primary school teacher and by the looks of it, it will happen in just a couple of years. I'm so proud of her.
I phoned round earlier and my son is feeling a bit better but another lazy day. It's Sunday so no harm in that he will be watching Wimbledon just like I am currently. Hope Andy Murray can pull a win. The cat is sitting beside me watching it as well had to laugh. Take care -Diane xx
Hi Diane
It is lovely watching the youngsters have success in what they do.
I just got a picture through showing my son watching the F1 with Darcey propped up beside him (another picture in the week was in front of the tennis). He is getting her used to his love of watching sport ha ha. I am flicking channels every so often to keep an eye on the motor racing too. Thankfully the sun has now come through so a very pleasant afternoon ahead. Take care. Jules .........GO MURRAY!!
Hi Jules, Just wanted to say hi, glad to see you are still around. I have just logged on after a good long while and have noticed those with good news and those with not so good. Am about to go out and support a local friend who has just had her 3rd cancer diagnosed who is feeling it's all just too much. Came on to remind me of the supportiveness one can find on here. Will never forget yours in my time of need. Will be back this evning to catch up with you and others of fond memory.
Hugs

Hi Annabel
Always nice to see an old forum friend pop their head back through the door so to speak. I do sometimes question why I am still here (hubby passed away Jan 2015) but always feel safe and supported here and have made many lovely friends (sadly lost a few too) during the journey.
Hope you are continuing to do well yourself and I am sure your friends will welcome seeing you. Chat latter if you get a minute. Jules x
Hi Jules,
lovely to hear back from you.
Thanks I am well, another year to go till the 5 year mark. !!!
I remember your hubby passing I was still coming on here at that point. I admired your continuing on the site and the strength you gave other people. Yes other buddies I see on here like Brian "nutkin" , still going strong. Others like Meerkat I gather have not been in such a good place. It is a pity CC got rid of the ability for us to message each other. There are times where you need the support of your friends but more so in private. He- ho cannot win everything in life. Congratulations are due to Davek and all he has been doing for cancerchat, and that the fact of him being well.
Will catch up more with you as we go along. Must go to bed now.

Hi Annabel
Yes, it was a shame when CC 'changed over' and private messaging was withdrawn but it was only temporary and is now available again. I also keep in touch with two or three old forum buddies via our own e mails now which is lovely. Lovely Jo (Meerkat) passed away last month and is much missed by her forum buddies. As you know the forum is very much a place that many people come and visit but do not always have the need to stay. I found it when I was in 'turmoil' and the support it offered and the virtual friends made helped me through the darkest of journies and that support continues as I try and regain 'normal life' in widowhood. Grieving is a process that takes the time it does and is different for everyone. Life for me is much changed, as it is for our children, and six weeks ago my son and his fiancee brought new life into our family with the arrival of baby Darcey who, along with our two grandsons bring joy and happiness.
Great to hear that you are doing well. Take care, Jules x
Welcome back to the forum Annabel.
Like Jules has said private messaging is now available again and you can find out more about it by clicking here.
I look forward to seeing you around the forum :)
Kind Regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
