Hi Jules,
Just wanted to check in under your new thread. I'm glad to read (on your old thread) that your grandchildren are keeping your spirits up. Am continuing to think of you, and I too wish that PM was sorted out. Take care. Hope x
Good morning Jules,
Your need to draw a line under the last thread and start a new one is completely understandable and a good idea and the title is so apt.
I did post a reply last night but unfortunately I was writing it at the same time as it was being closed off so I got an error message which I promptly blamed on this new site but an email from the moderators this morning and a helpful link explains everything. The moderators really do a great job here especially when they put up with a rant from the likes of me so, if you are reading Lucie thank you and my appologies again for venting.
To make it short I was told by my Mum that my youngest Neice, Hannah is in hospital and undergoing tests to try and find the cause of intense pain. I was initially annoyed with my sister for not telling me as she had already been in hospital 24hrs and the hospital itself is notorious for poor care so I am worried for her especially when, at only 19yrs she is being given Morphine for the pain. When I know more I will let you know.
In the meantime I hope all of us can help you a little as you continue your journey.
Lots of love and hugs.
Garf. xx
to all my great forum buddies your responses and kind thoughts mean so much and all is quiet here now so I shall have some reflective time. Tomorrow I have time to prepare heart and home in readiness for Monday's 'Celebration of hubby's life' and hope his journey will be as dignified in death as it has been in life.
Time to sort the 'whys and wherefors in due time' but answers will be required so no one else has to go through such distress at time of grief when it could so easily have been avoided. Hey ho, we all make mistakes; as they say 'to err is human'. Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you may be up to. Kind thoughs and hugs Jules xx
Well Jules Im so glad all sorted now but what a worry for you and your family at this very difficult time ..When Tony died our Gp was hereat our home as were macmillan nurse and district nurse ,a few mins after he had gone the Gp said she had to inform the coroner and the police had to come because mesothelioma is an industrial desease within mins they came and took Tony to our Hospital in Truro he was there for 2 days the coroner said no need for a PMbecause his consultant said mesothelioma was the cause and an inquest was opened and ajourned until a later date which was 11 months later It was just read out and no questions ..I didnt get death certificate until then they had given me interim certificates to do all the things that needed to be done ie bank solicitor and things but all this made a difficult time harder on us all ,it was like a nighmare ,and all because of the mesothelioma sorry to babble on but needed to explane ,but it gets better in the end ...Jules im sending love and hugs for you all xxxxxxxSueanne
Hi Jules,
I am so glad that someone had their sensible head on. Your undertaker did a good job there. At least you will get to celebrate your husbands life as and when you planned. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and on Monday, and pray that all goes as you would wish.
hugs Annabel. xxxxx
Thanks for letting me know how it went for you and I know how difficult it must be for you to recall the hardest time in your life. Just need to stay 'in the day' and honour my man. Kids have been amazing in their courage and we will continue to support each other. Our contact at the funeral directors deserves a medal - its the first time they had to deal with this particular situation and she will continue to be our go between in sorting our the formalities that follow in the weeks ahead.
Zack experienced his first outing in the snow today (did not last long but grandchildren loved seeing it).Children staying here overnight Monday so have readied spare rooms. Hubby's siblings came over from Isle of Man Thursday evening and it looks as though it will be the funeral before I see them as no contact as yet.. His brother and sister in law go back day after funeral and his sister is planning on catching up with old workmates the day afterwards and then returning too.
Well, a few more bits to do before getting some shut eye and an early start tomorrow at the launderette following by my usual Sunday morning stroll(first Farmers'market of the New Year to drop in at).
Hope all is well with you and the family. Take care Jules x

Thanks Kerrie, how kind of you to take the time to post me when you have your own difficulties. Hope you have love and support around you too. Jules x
Thanks for your kind words and thoughts Annabel. Hope you are keeping well and not too busy with the cottages. Currently watching Bridget Jones Diary (forgot I was going to try for an early night!!!) and hoping for a good walk in the morning to blow the cobwebs away! Sending hugs and hope all well with the family. Hugs Jules x
Hope you soon have improving news on Hannah, Garf and thanks for your kind words.Grieving is taking various turns as you would expect but family being mutually supportive and we will journey through the ups and downs together. Coping mechanism seems to include good food and treats accompanied by great friends and family and continued support of my forum buddies, not forgetting the joy and laughter that the little ones bring when they are visiting. Have bought eldest a new 'Spiderman quilt cover as a surprise for his over-nighter *suspect the kinder egg will get a better reception ha ha.
Will take the warm words of the forum with me as I 'manage Monday'. Take care and make the most of your day off. Hugs Jules x
Thanks Hope for being there as a forum buddy when am sure you have plenty to keep you busy just now.Last couple of days have been pretty tense but had lovely day with children/grandchildren for company and we are 'doing our own things' tomorrow. Good morning Jules,
They really have been putting you through it haven't they!
If there was anything you didn't need right now it's a mistake made by someone you have never met causing you extra heart ache. Pleased for you that things have been sorted and tomorrow is back on track, although without the curtains!
It's a little strange to think that last night we were both watching the same film at the same time. Bridget Jones' diary was something Mrs G wanted to put on but I did quite enjoy it actually. Unfortunately there is still no news on Hannah. They are now trying to pin it to some kind of infection but again, because it is now the weekend, there are no doctors to see her until next week. >:)
You know I will be with you tomorrow.

Dear Jules, I am so pleased that evereything got sorted out. Thank goodness for the helpful lady at the funeral directors. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hugs to you and your family. Hope x
Thinking of you and your family today Jules.

Hi Jules
Just to add our good wishes to all those you have already received!
We will be thinking of you today and we hope everything goes as well.
Best wishes to you and your family,

Good morning Jules,
I hope yesterday went off okay. I bet there were some emotional moments for you and it must have brought many memories flooding back. You were in my thoughts a lot yesterday and I feel sure many people on here were also thinking of you.
Have you had any snow in your area this morning? We have been very lucky as we have only had a very light dusting but when I took Mrs B shopping, we saw several cars with deep snow on the bonnets driving around town. My youngest grandson has got a bad infection round the feeding button on his tummy. Their consultant has told my son that the infection may require an operation to sort it out as nothing seems to be working for him. It looks very sore and painful but he still keeps smiling and making people laugh bless him. The courage our young people show at times make me feel small.
Take care Jules and please be assured, we are still thinking of you, Brian
Hi Jules,
Just a quick message to add to Brian's and hoping that everything went off as it should yesterday.
